Baking Baking~

Baking session with Vicky at her house is always fun. But she’s at Perth at the moment finishing school and can’t wait to bake with her again! Nina, your dog bit my finger so baking cookies at your house is not fun anymore! I hate Hennessy <- that’s the dog’s name..cheh.

Anyways, Vicky and I baked cookies using readymade mixtures only leh nothing too fancy but still a fun way to kill time. First we mixed the flour mix with a few eggs. We added flour bit by bit so that the mixture will not become too runny; I mean you don’t want any soggy cookies, do you?

After that, shaping the cookies! We just roll a bit of the finished mixture and smash it lightly onto the baking tray. Err you guys get the picture la kan. Ngeh but the cookie dough looks fine. After that..Vicky and I ate bits of cookie dough that was left in the container hahahaha..sedap! After I think 20 minutes in the oven? Ting! It’s done! Mmm the smell of freshly baked cookies is comforting. Oo ya we made one cookie bigger than the others haha..and Vicky put a smile on it before baking and the cookie turned out like a fat face. Seriously. It’s time to taste the cookies that we just made, and yeah the cookies were delicious. Of course I’ll say it delicious because Vicky and I baked it ngehehehe :P

Yay!

See. Fat Face.

Maybe we’ll bake something again soon when she’s back in Kota Kinabalu. But she always stayed in KK for a short period of time..eeeeee. There’s one day she baked a cake..erm what’s the cake called again ah..dates cake? I forgot the name but the cake is so good but too sweet. She served the cake with butterscotch sauce and vanilla ice-cream. Heyer, I think I need a cake fix right now…

I Want This.

5 Movies~

Everyone has their opinions on what is great and good. Everyone is right and might be wrong at some point. This comes to my point, 5 movies that I love! In my opinion atleast. Everyone is free to comment hahaha because what I might say as great might be not to you. Well the countdown starts now!

Deep breath. Letting it all out.

Ok here we go.

5th place : Onmyoji (2004)

Onmyoji means the sorcerer or the yin yang master in Japanese. The movie is about a sorcerer played by Mansai Nomura was befriended by bungling court noble Minamoto no Hiromasa, who enlists his aid to defend the Heian emperor. Meanwhile, the onmyoji Doson is plotting the downfall of the emperor, attempting to frame Seimei in the process while unleashing a horde of yōkai to do his bidding. Abe no Seimei is the main character of this movie. In the movie we can see Abe transformed papers cutout into beautiful maidens and he’s always making fun of Hiromasa who’s in love with a woman who can transform into a monster.

I saw this movie in Astro Box Office and I watched it every day since. Well, not every day until today only the time when it was screened at the television. I even set the television so that I can watch it at any given hour the movie is played. I thought it was a pretty good movie.

4th place : Van Wilder. National Lampoon (2002)

Van Wilder played by Ryan Reynolds is starting his seventh semester but he is more into partying and less into attending the classes in campus. Armed with a personal assistant and band admirers, Van reached the status of living legend on the campus, throwing awesome parties that make geeks popular, raising money for charity and generally "inspiring the uninspired." His father were shocked to know that he was still in university when he should have been graduated and refuses to pay for Van’s tuition fee. After that Van turns party planning into a business in order to continue living in undergraduate bliss. As things are getting more interesting, Van catches the eye of student journalist Gwen Pearson played by Tara Reid, who is determined to expose the truth about him.

Well, did he finally graduate? Watch it. It’s a funny movie and that kind of story always makes you think is that really how students live in US campuses?

3rd place : The Notebook (2003)

The movie is about a poor and very passionate young man (played by Ryan Gosling) falls in love with a young rich girl (Rachel McAdams). Absolutely a fairytale movie but with a few twists here and there.

Love this movie!

2nd place : Charlie and The Chocolate Factory (2005)

A story about a boy who lives with his parents and a pair of grandparents just outside of the town. One day there’s news that Willy Wonka is giving out Golden Tickets in one of his chocolates and all the kids are really excited to get it. Getting the tickets will get them the opportunity to go inside the chocolate factory and at the end of the visit one of them will get a grand prize. It’s a colourful and wonderful story.

1st place : Cruel Intentions (1999)

A story about high society kids where Kathryn (played by Sarah Michelle Gellar) makes a bet that her step-brother, Sebastian (played by Ryan Phillippe), won't be able to bed Annette (Reese Witherspoon) (a virgin, who wants to wait until love). If he loses, Kathryn gets his Jaguar, if he wins, he gets Kathryn.

I can assure you I can quote every single conversations, words and dialogues from the movie. That’s how much I LOVE CRUEL INTENTIONS.

That is all.

Ranau~

Ranau. There’s the mountain, the strawberry farm, the famous park, the famous vegetable market, cattle farm and roses..maybe a few more sightseeing adventures I forgot to mention. Oooh! A hot spring! Haha how can I forget that place. Since we were little, my brothers and I always asked our parents to bring us to the hot spring in Ranau. We have cousins staying near Poring so it’s a very good excuse for us siblings to ask our parents to go to Ranau. Hah! This time me and my family visited and spent a night at Mesilau resort. It was a fun, short family vacation. We stayed at a chalet with 3 bedrooms but there’s no television..ngeh. AND the cellphone coverage is close to none..I have to go out from the chalet to make calls or texting. So, my brothers and I just sat at the living room drinking, eating and just chatting until midnight. It was so cold but luckily there’s a heater in each room..but letting it on all night makes the room a bit hot after awhile.

When the morning comes, we all had breakfast together and then when sightseeing near the resort. We took pictures, walking and then it was time to check out from the chalet. After that we went to a flower farm, looking at those beautiful flowers is exciting and yeah we took more pictures. And then it’s time to go home but a trip to Ranau won’t be complete without a visit to the market.

Hmmm..what a fun short trip to Ranau. There will be next time, I’m sure. Maybe the next visit wil be me climbing Mount. Kinabalu. Apart from that I’m excited to visit the cattle farm and strawberry farm! Vicky told me the strawberry sorbet there is so delicious she ordered it thrice! Not twice, but three times! Wow I can’t imagine what it tastes like but I’m positively sure it was very good. Oh and she was kind enough to give me a bit of the strawberry cookies she bought from the there and yes it was really good! Made in Sabah haha. Well to be honest she didn’t give me just a bit, I ate the majority of it and finished a whole box of strawberry cookies. Love the cookies so much! Heyer I was wondering until today whether those cookies are sold in KK or only in Ranau. Ranau is too far if I just want to get the strawberry cookies.

What to do lerr..

Man vs Food? Man loves Food :)

Fooood.. I love food. But who doesn’t, right? Maybe those who are suffering from anorexia..but who am I to judge J. Anyways, I love watching cooking shows on the television, cooking and the most exciting of all.. EATING! I’m lucky enough to just gain just a little bit of weight after eating massive amount of food haha but I do workout from time to time. Me and Ian, boy we can really eat. You will never see us eating in small portion UNLESS the food we’re eating is supposed to be eaten in small portions or it’s not nice hahaha. There’s this time when we went eating at a restaurant at Hiltop where we started ordering this and that. The aunty who’s taking our order was like confused because we ordered food that are atleast for 4 or 5 people eating but there’s just me and Ian. At some point she asked us “ Whooa you guys ordered so much food..can you guys finish it?”, of course the aunty is saying it in Chinese + Malay slang just want to polish it a bit when blogging :P

Heh, there’s this show at the television Man vs. Food. I wish I can eat all the awesome, juicy, mouth watering foods he ate. The challenges he did after each visit to each restaurants are funny, yummy and also stupid at some point. Stupid as in there one time he ate 6 jalapeno+habanero beef balls. For those who didn’t know jalapeno and habanero are one of most pedas chilli in the world! You think cili padi is hot? Hah! Try a hundred times hotter than that .. Ok that’s what I meant by stupid. He finished it anyway and won the challenge and have to endure the after burning for 5 minutes.

Here are some pictures of food me and Ian enjoyedJ. Enjoy!
