Aaah atlast, I visited one of the islands in Sabah. Vicky always persuaded me to go with them BUT my laziness always a top priority haha! Sorry Ky! Anyways, Ian somehow managed to make me say yes this time and off to the Mamutik Island we go! Well it was not only just us two, Ian’s cousin and girlfriend also tag along.. a double date I must say. After we bought the tickets at Jesselton Point, we’re onboard on a boat to Mamutik Island. About 10 to 15 minutes later, we arrived at our destination! The beach is so beautiful, the sand is white and the ocean is blue and green haha. We can see many fish just near the bridge and also a lot of tourists. Oo how I can’t wait to go inside the water and also excited about the games too!
After settling ourselves at a picnic table nearby, we went to try parasailing. Hoh! I was not that excited after that when I saw what parasailing was all about. Yeah I was nervous but when we were lifted to the air it was so much fun seeing the ocean from above. After parasailing, we went snorkeling and swimming for awhile before going to the banana boat ride. Yes it’s a boat in a shape of a banana! And the ride around the ocean was not bad at all although the speedboat man kept yelling at us “ mau kasi terbalik ka? “..meaning he’s asking us whether we want him to turn the banana boat upside down to make all of us fall in the middle of the ocean. Crazy. I will not want to experience that in my life..the ride itself was scary enough already hahaha but it was so much fun though. We’re back to snorkeling, swimming and just chill out under the tree and walk around the beach after that.
It’s 2.30pm when we decided to go back to Jesselton Point. As soon as we arrived at Jesselton Point, we were so hungry we had..I mean, I had a very big meal haha at Nasi Padang Ibu restaurant. I was so worn out, tired and hungry..well not just me, all four of us are. BUT did we all go home after eating??? NOOOOooo..we continued drinking cold beer at D’Junction until 8pm..so comforting! Then only after that we go home to rest. I did go to another island with Vicky and Rozy but that’s another tale to tell.
Oo ya, about the parasailing game that I mentioned earlier? Vicky’s mum said someone died because of it. Fell from it I guess. Shoot.
